How Cannabis and CBD is used for health
Cannabis and CBD have long been used for health reasons. The health benefits are astounding.
What is CBD?
Cannabidiol( CBD ) is the non-psychoactive part of the cannabis plant. Basically it does not get you high. THC is the psychoactive part of the cannabis plant that does get you high.
Different cannabis strains have different levels of CBD and THC.
CBD is extracted and use in everything from medicine, oils, gels, lotions and more.
CBD also balances out the effects of THC and is used by cannabis chefs to ensure that infused dinners don’t get you too high.
Cannabis & CBD helps with:
- Seizures
- Pain
- Anxiety
- Depression
- PTSD
- Sleep
That’s why there has been a growing movement to legalize cannabis and CBD for medical use.
This week New Jersey follows Oklahoma and many other states that have legal sized the use of cannabis for both medical and recreational use.
The World Health Organization has lowered cannabis’s drug classification and
Democratic leader Chuck Schumer has committed to the legalization of cannabis.
One of the groups that gets the most benefits from cannabis are veterans.
Veterans and Cannabis
Studies show that cannabis and mushrooms have positive effects with helping veterans deal with post traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD). On a recent podcast from Pot to Popular founder for Jane Technology’s explains how cannabis helps him sleep. He also speaks to the profound sadness he feels that so many veterans have to hide the fact that they need cannabis to sleep.
How does Cannabis Help Sleep?
Cannabis use changes the third stages of sleep where dreams are formed. When you smoke you don’t dream. This can be huge for veterans who suffer from nightmares from the trauma of war.
More studies need to be done on this which is another reasons cannabis should be legal. Once it is legal companies can find studies with out any risks. These studies will bring us closer understanding the full power and medicinal properties of this glorious plant.
